What a great site. My husband is in Gib for the next 4 months doing a Yachtsmaster course and I love the fact that I can feel so connected to him while he is away through your site. Music..cams..weather report...etc..etc.

Okay I have lots of questions and hope you can help, but first some memories of Gib I'd like to share. In the late nineties I was sent by the Peace Corps to Northern Morocco to teach English as a second language in a school for the blind. Being blind myself I found the experience awesome and an eye opener. No pun there really. Anyway I was in Gib as often as I could get there to let my hair down make friends enjoy drinks and the like. I used to stay at the Cannon not far from you and eat at the Clipper Hong Kong etc. I'm wondering whre my old Cannon staff have gone. I just send a not and it was returned with the news "noone you remem bered is here anymore. So I thought I'd drop some names as these people were excellent friends of mine. First there was Mickey Garvey, then Jenny the housekeeper sorry can't remember a last name there. At the time the Cannon was run by a couple of Swedes, Tom and his partner. Can't remember her name either. There was my drinking pal Angel who was friends with Jerry Martinez who I still know is on Radio Gib. They're on my windows media. There was a bartender named Karen at the Clipper New Zealander. Actually she's British and married to a Kiwi. Tell them all i'm well living in California married and gained weight. And yes Heather and I will be in Gib sooner rather than later. Not wealthy enough to invest but if Radio Gib needs an overnight personality I'd love to apply. Anyway love your site and keep up the good work. I know there's webcam but any live sound from a Saturday in the street? It'd be nice to virtually share a pint. matt

Hi! Thanks for letting us know that there will be a "wild party" on when we arrive on 10th September! My husband loves parties! We will be dressed in red and white or as near to it as possible! Hi! Was looking at the site and wondered if I could be on the mailing list please! Both my Husband and I will be holidaying in Gibraltar for 2 weeks in September starting on the 10th, will there be any events or anything that is on during that time? We were last in Gibraltar 3yrs ago on honeymoon and we loved the place so much that we decided to come back! We are going to stay at The Rock Hotel and we are so looking forward to seeing the place again and the many people we spoke to including the lovely policemen! Great site !! used to live in gib 1993-1996 , came over with my 2 sons last oct, and they loved it there,. Trying to get back for the gib bike show next month, in the meantime il be watching casemates from somerset,!
