This building until recently was home to many of the hundreds of Morrocans who came to Gibraltar to replace the Spanish labour force after General Franco closed the frontier gates in 1969

Casemates is considered the entertainment centre of Gibraltar, there are almost 60 businesses in the square, from bars and restaurants, to gift shops and kiosks, whatever you are looking for you will find it in Casemates.
